Within the scope of the Modern Manufacturing Technologies course, managed in cooperation between our university’s Mersin Tarsus OSB Technical Sciences Vocational School of Higher Education and the Mersin Model Factory and Innovation Center, students from the Machinery Program and the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology Program received both theoretical and practical training on topics such as lean approach, Industry 4.0, process approach, standardization, and work study.
Students who successfully completed the course were awarded Participation Certificates by our Director Prof. Dr. Hüseyin TOPAKLI, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ümit TEPE, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammet Nasıf KURU, and Bahittin ASLAN, Coordinator of the Mersin Model Factory and Innovation Center.
In addition, at the end of the theoretical courses, students were introduced to 3D scanner and 3D printer technologies used in reverse engineering. Using 3D printing technology, students carried out various hands-on projects, which were showcased at the end of the semester.
