Message from the Head of Department
Air conditioning and refrigeration systems condition the air to create suitable living environments for both humans and other living beings. Even slight changes in temperature and humidity can significantly impact the health and quality of life of individuals. From this perspective, the proper design, implementation, and operation of these systems are highly important for both comfort and energy efficiency. In addition to installing and effectively operating such systems, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technicians also serve in various industrial sectors — including cold storage facilities, ultra-low temperature storage environments, and ensuring appropriate conditions for the storage, marketing, and transportation of food products from producers to consumers.
One of our program's key objectives is to train qualified technicians in line with the needs of the sector. The curriculum of our program has been designed accordingly. For example, the "Career Planning" course offered in the first semester guides our students in shaping their professional paths. Through courses such as "Computer-Aided Drawing" and "Computer-Aided Design," students gain effective command of relevant software in their field. In the spring term of the second year, our students also have the opportunity to gain practical experience by working four days a week in a company as part of the "Workplace Practice" course, allowing them to acquire hands-on experience before graduation. This process also creates employment opportunities, as companies often hire students they were satisfied with during training.
Our Vocational School is located within the Organized Industrial Zone. We collaborate with local institutions in the region to provide internship and employment opportunities for our students.
We would be delighted to welcome you, our esteemed students, to be part of our program.
